“You wouldn’t know it, but I’ve had personal training on and off for years. Conni is the best personal trainer I’ve ever had. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and extremely professional. You can time your watch by her – she is never late. I always feel Conni listens to me and draws on a wealth of expertise to vary my exercises. I’ve completely re-engaged with the gym since working with Conni.”
“I began weekly sessions in the gym with Conni aged 52, and am immensely glad that I did. The continuing improvements in my overall fitness, strength and wellbeing (both physical and mental) have been so good. In the beginning, I didn’t know my way around a gym, was mildly intimidated, stressed and suffering assorted menopausal woes. I started out wanting to improve my fitness and flexibility, get to grips with weight-training and build strength (which research shows is mighty beneficial for menopausal people). Under Conni’s expert tutelage, I’ve done all three and gained confidence both in the gym and beyond.”
“I thoroughly enjoy working with Conni and look forward to our sessions. As well as her expertise and wealth of experience in personal training, she is an excellent communicator. She is extremely good at tailoring sessions to the individual, designing and adapting programmes that work for your goals. She is also careful to keep checking in with you, as your goals, abilities and tastes may change as you go along. Sessions are never boring – though they will certainly be challenging! There’s never pressure though; Conni is always encouraging, inventive in introducing and adapting things, and sensitive to those days when your muscles are refusing to co-operate or your mind is elsewhere. In addition to menopause, I have ADHD and have really appreciated the myriad ways in which Conni has customised our sessions so they work for me. I appreciate her holistic approach to personal training too – for example, she’s able to discuss and advise on diet and nutrition to complement your work in the gym and is very well-informed on research in areas such as menopause and women’s health.”
“My confidence has greatly increased and I have been able to lift heavier and feel happy with the workouts that I do.”
“The PT sessions I have had with Conni have been a wonderful experience. Having various low-level physical issues, I went to Conni for ideas for exercises I could carry out in a gym with those in mind. I had previously felt I may struggle to find ways to exercise in a gym without hurting myself, but she has guided me through whole-body workouts using a wide range of different gym equipment which suits my individual requirements. My main forms of exercise have generally been swimming, cycling and walking, but after training with Conni, I now feel confident, empowered, and equipped to be able to add gym workouts to the mix.”
“Conni is a fantastic personal trainer. I’ve regularly attended group exercise classes, but never had the benefit of a PT. Having sustained a rotator cuff injury, I’ve needed to cut back on Body Combat classes and wanted to find something fun and hopefully strengthen my shoulders. Conni completely understood what I wanted to achieve, my likes and dislikes regarding gym equipment, and provided a varied programme for full body workout and targeting areas of weakness. I have achieved far more than I thought possible. Conni motivates and encourages me to push myself where I know I would’ve taken the easy option if she wasn’t there! All the sessions have been great fun but boy oh boy, I know I’ve worked hard at the end. If you are considering 1:1 sessions, Conni is absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend her.”
